Junction State University will debut a new elective course next semester exploring the city’s folklore, myths, and unexplained phenomena.

Professor Lydia Trent, who will teach the class, said the idea grew from student interest in the city’s “haunted” landmarks. “We’ll look at what these stories reveal about community fears and memory,” she explained.

The course has already filled its initial enrollment cap. A waiting list of over 30 students suggests a strong appetite for Junction City’s darker history.
