Trial Postponed After Defense Witness Vanishes

A high-profile fraud case involving the bankrupt Helix Logistics firm has been postponed after the defense’s key witness failed to appear in court. Attorneys have not disclosed the witness’s name, citing safety concerns.

Judge Ramsey granted a continuance until further notice. “This is an unusual development,” she remarked. “We will reconvene once the situation stabilizes.”

According to courthouse sources, the witness was last seen leaving a downtown motel late Wednesday night. Security footage shows a dark vehicle following him northbound toward the riverfront.
