Union State Bank announced this week that it will be expanding its night deposit services to include after-hours appointments for select clients. The decision comes amid a rise in nocturnal business activity downtown.

Bank officials cited the need to accommodate new entertainment venues and hospitality partners that primarily operate at night. “We’re adapting to the rhythms of our growing city,” said regional manager Leah Tran.

Some employees expressed concern over the new policy, claiming the night lobby’s security system malfunctions intermittently. One teller, requesting anonymity, described hearing “voices” through the glass before the last alarm test.
