Vigil Planned for Missing Residents

A candlelight vigil will be held Saturday evening in Memorial Square for residents reported missing over the past six months. Organizers hope the gathering will raise awareness and encourage information sharing.

Posters bearing the faces of at least nine missing individuals have been seen around the city, many centered near the river and the Old Market District.

“I don’t care if it’s crime, cults, or something else,” said volunteer coordinator Desmond Hall. “People vanish here, and no one wants to talk about it anymore.”
