As Junction City continues to grow, its leadership must learn to embrace—not fear—the city’s nightlife. Too often, decisions are made to “tame” the night rather than celebrate the culture that thrives after dusk.
Restaurants, venues, and artists deserve support, not suspicion. The heartbeat of Junction City is strongest when the streetlights come on and people gather under neon. Suppression breeds shadow; opportunity breeds light.
But the night also demands respect. It reveals who we are when no one’s watching. Perhaps that’s what makes so many uncomfortable.
