Third Missing Person Reported in Southside Neighborhood

Junction City Police are investigating the third missing person case reported this month from the Southside neighborhood. Thirty-two-year-old Michael Reed was last seen leaving his shift at the Steelmark Foundry around midnight.

Authorities have not confirmed a link between Reed’s disappearance and the two other cases earlier this month, though neighbors have expressed growing unease. “People don’t just vanish,” said resident Tara Coleman, “and it always seems to happen after dark.”

Police ask anyone with information to call the anonymous tip line. A citywide volunteer search is planned for this weekend, though many participants have expressed reluctance to enter the nearby drainage tunnels after sundown.
